CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Georgia baseball hosts the North Florida Ospreys in a three-game ASUN series spanning from Thursday through Saturday at Cole Field. First pitch on Thursday is slated for 6 p.m.
Following a 2-1 series loss to Jacksonville and an extra innings defeat at KSU, the Wolves (16-18. 7-8 ASUN) look to snap their three-game losing streak this weekend, hosting the UNF Ospreys (19-18, 7-8 ASUN), who are riding a four-game losing skid that started with a series sweep by Stetson and midweek loss to Bethune-Cookman.Â
UWG leads the all-time series 2-1 after beating the Ospreys in a three-game ASUN series earlier this season. West Georgia ranks fourth in the ASUN Graphite Division, one spot behind the Ospreys.Â
On the mound, UWG posts a 5.80 team ERA, good for seventh in the conference.Â
Leading the charge for UWG is game one starter
Lane Pearson (5-1). In 56.1 innings across nine games, Pearson is tied for first in the ASUN with 65 strikeouts, ranks second with a 2.08 ERA and places fifth in faced batters average with a mark of .208. West Georgia's game two starter,

Center fielder
Cooper Prince continues to lead the team with a .357 batting average, good for seventh in the ASUN. In 129 at-bats, Prince posts a UWG-best 46 hits (tenth in the ASUN), 37 runs (seventh in the ASUN), four triples (fourth in the ASUN) and a .455 on-base percentage. In the Wolves' latest matchup (April 16), the senior made one of the most clutch plays of the 2025 season, sending the game against KSU into extras with his first-ever UWG home run during the top of the ninth with two outs. In that game, Prince went 2-for-4 at the plate with three runs and an RBI.
Another UWG player ranking in the ASUN top-ten and coming off of a hot performance is first baseman

In his showing against the Wolves earlier this season, Ross struck out three batters and allowed four earned runs through 4.2 frames.
